Building Permits & Fees
The Township is now under the Uniform Construction Code and permits are required for new construction and additions, including interior work.
Please contact Joseph Marino, Jr., Zoning and Code Enforcement Officer, for information concerning applying for a building permit. His hours are 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday, at the Municipal Building; he may be reached at 724-224-9540. A permit is required for additions, fences, decks, swimming pools, etc.
The following are the fees for houses and additions:
Value of Construction Fees $100 - $5,000 $22 $5,000 - $10,000 $32 $10,000 - $15,000 $42 $15,000 - $20,000 $52 An additional $2 will be charged for every $1,000 of value of construction over $20,000 Zoning certificates are as follows:
Porches and decks $40 Sheds $30 Pools $50 Carports $40 Garages $50 Fences $30 Signs - up to 5 sq. ft. $50 Signs -over 5 sq. ft. $10 for each sq. ft. over 5 sq. ft. Variance Hearing Fee:
$400 plus any additional costs above the flat fee of $400 to be paid by applicant Demolition Permit:
